Full-service digital studio

AI, software, and the growth behind it.

Technscale designs and builds AI systems, web platforms, and mobile and desktop applications — then runs the search, advertising and lifecycle marketing that bring them users. Eleven capabilities, one team, one contract.

What we do

Eleven capabilities, three jobs.

Everything required to build software and put it in front of the people who should be using it. Build makes the thing. Run keeps it working. Grow gets it used.

Approach

The seams are where it breaks.

A design studio builds the site. A development shop builds the application. A consultant wires up the model, and an agency runs the advertising. Nobody owns the space between them — and that space is where deadlines, data and accountability quietly disappear.

We don't claim to be the best in the world at any single one of these. A dedicated search firm will beat us on search. What we offer is that the team who owns the model also owns the application and the funnel — so the handoffs stop existing. For most organisations, that is worth more than a specialist.

Who it's for

A candid note on fit.

We would rather establish this now than three weeks into an engagement. Here is where we do our best work — and where we honestly don't.

We're a strong fit when

  • 01You have an operating business. Real customers, real revenue, and a process that has stopped scaling.
  • 02Your team is absorbed in manual work. People moving data between systems, reading documents, retyping the same information daily.
  • 03You have no in-house engineering team — or a small one already at capacity.
  • 04Your product and marketing are run by different suppliers who don't speak to each other.
  • 05You have one internal owner who can make decisions and unblock the work.

We're not the right choice when

  • 01You're selecting on price alone. There will always be a cheaper supplier, and for some projects that is the correct decision.
  • 02You need a large team immediately. We stay small deliberately. Larger firms exist and are good at scale.
  • 03You want a supplier who only takes instructions. We will question the brief. If that's unwelcome, we're the wrong studio.
  • 04The deadline is a fortnight. Rushed builds are the ones we're later asked to rescue.
  • 05Nobody internally owns the outcome. Without a decision-maker the work stalls, and you'll have paid for it regardless.
How we work

Four stages. No ambiguity.

Every engagement runs the same way, whether it's an AI system, an application, or an ongoing growth programme. You always know which stage you're at and what happens next.

01

Discover

We interview your team and map how the work actually happens today — not how the process document says it does. Then we rank what's worth addressing and model the return. You keep the findings whether you engage us or not.

One week · credited against the build

02

Build

Fixed scope, fixed price, weekly demonstrations. You see working software each week rather than a status report. Production systems — not a prototype that fails on contact with real data.

Typically four to eight weeks

03

Ship

Deployed, monitored, documented and handed over properly, with training for whoever inherits it. Your team can operate it without us. That is deliberate.

Handover, training, source code

04

Grow

Software nobody uses is an expensive asset. The team that built it runs the search, advertising and lifecycle marketing that put it in front of people — and ships the next version.

Ongoing · no long-term lock-in

Standards

How we build.

Most studios describe their process. These are the commitments underneath it — written into the contract, and checkable by your own engineers while the work is happening rather than after it.

STD-01Every sprint

Working demonstrations

You see running software each week, not a progress report. If the timeline is slipping, you find out in week two rather than week eight.

STD-02From day one

Continuous integration

Automated pipelines, staging environments and monitoring exist before the first feature does. Deployment is never the thing that goes wrong at the end.

STD-03All business logic

Tested where it counts

We don't chase a coverage percentage. We test the logic that loses money when it breaks, and we tell you what isn't covered and why.

STD-04Every decision

Documented architecture

Why this database, why this framework, why not the obvious alternative. Written down at the time, so the next engineer inherits reasoning rather than archaeology.

STD-05No exceptions

Reviewed before merge

Nothing reaches your production environment on one person's judgement alone — including on a deadline, and including when the person is us.

STD-06On completion

Full handover package

Repository, documentation, infrastructure configuration, and a session with whoever inherits it. You can replace us without a rebuild. That is the test.

What we build with

A representative slice, not a limit. We choose the right tool per engagement and justify it in writing — if the best fit isn't listed here, we'll use it and tell you why.

Questions

Common questions.

Including the ones most studios avoid answering.

Do you build the work yourselves, or subcontract it?

All engineering — AI systems, web, mobile, desktop and infrastructure — is built in-house. That is the core of the studio.

For certain marketing disciplines, such as link acquisition and social content production, we work with vetted specialist partners under our management and our contract. We will tell you which is which during the first call rather than leave you to discover it. You have one point of contact and one invoice in either case.

Why does the first stage carry a fee?

Because a free proposal is a guess. Nobody can scope a build accurately without spending time inside the process, so the free version is either padded to absorb the unknown, or optimistic and revised upward once work begins.

Discovery takes a week and produces a document you own outright: a process map, a ranked set of opportunities, a return model, and a roadmap. If you proceed, the fee is credited against the build. If the honest conclusion is that the work isn't worth doing, we will write that down.

How long does an engagement take?

Discovery takes one week. Most AI systems and web builds run four to eight weeks. Mobile and desktop applications typically run eight to sixteen. Anything materially faster is usually a supplier telling you what you want to hear.

You see a working demonstration each week, so you will know by the second week whether the timeline is real.

What if we only need one capability?

That is entirely normal and it is how most engagements begin. The eleven capabilities exist so that you can add the others later, not so that you have to commission them now.

We would rather do one thing properly and earn the next than sell a bundle you did not ask for.

Who owns the code and the intellectual property?

You do, in full, on final payment. It is written into the contract. You receive the repository, the documentation, the deployment configuration, and a handover session so your team can operate it independently.

We do not retain code as leverage to keep clients on a retainer. If you stop working with us, you keep everything.

What happens if the engagement goes wrong?

The first milestone carries a money-back guarantee. If what we deliver in the opening weeks isn't right, that payment is returned and we part company cleanly.

Beyond that, fixed scope means the price does not move. If we underestimated, that is our problem rather than your invoice. If the scope changes at your request, that is a separate quotation — agreed in writing before any work starts, never a surprise at the end.

Do you sign non-disclosure agreements?

Routinely, and before the first substantive conversation if you prefer. Send yours or use ours. It isn't a negotiation.

How do you work across time zones?

We maintain deliberate overlap with your working day and agree those hours before the engagement starts, so they are a commitment rather than a hope.

You deal with the same named people throughout, and calls are with the people writing the code — not an account manager relaying messages.

Get in touch

Tell us what's actually broken.

A thirty-minute conversation. We ask questions about how your organisation genuinely operates, then tell you plainly whether we're the right studio for it.

  • No deck, no pitch, no sales script
  • You speak to the people who would do the work
  • If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and suggest who is
  • An outline of scope and approach within two working days
